Today, leadership development depends upon being able to develop appropriate attitudes, values and behaviours and maximising the potential of each person in the organisation.
The ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring aims to equip practi- sing senior leaders and managers or those working in a learning and development role with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as coaches and mentors.
The main purpose of the qualification is to become highly effective as Executive Coach and Mentor to enhance the impact and performance of the most influential people in your organsiation.
The programme has two primary objectives:
to enable participants to understand the nature and role of executive coaching and mentoring
to develop the high-level skills that participants need to perform effectively in these roles
Our programme is delivered by qualified coaches with significant experience across the UK and Europe. Our focus is to: -
Develop practical and powerful skills which make an immediate impact and support lasting improvements
Improve individual and team performance
Help you to develop personal and organisatio- nal coaching and mentoring capacity

Programme Building Blocks:
Six days of structured workshop sessions, delivered via three 2-day events
Coaching practice with volunteer coachees, minimum 12 hours per delegate
Peer coaching and support between the workshop sessions
Coach supervision in small peer learning sets
Individual tutorial 1-2-1 coaching and supervision from our experienced Coaches via telephone and Email support
Core content and programme style
Our programme delivers a robust theoretical introduction to coaching blended with a strong practical emphasis on the development of core coaching skills and a high transfer of learning back into the workplace.
Key skills cover:
Clarity on the unique characteristics and benefits of coaching and its differences from other related disciplines
Advanced communication skills, tools and techniques to build rapport and to enhance senior managers’ performance
Building and maintaining effective coaching relationships, managing challenging scenarios and engaging stakeholders in the process
Identifying diverse values and beliefs, overcoming limiting attitudes and enhancing creativity
The specifics of coaching ‘at the top’ – personal commitment and integrity of the coach
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of coaching – tools to measure the benefits for individuals and organisations
Our programme works with ‘Real-play’ practice sessions using relevant scenarios and professional actors to ensure the highest levels of realism for the delegates. Intensive feedback from our expert tutors and peers will help develop highest levels of self-awareness and skills to equip the delegates with the capacity to coach with confidence.
